Sharp Roofing did not begin its relationship with Predictive Sales AI by looking for a new marketing agency.

The relationship started with WeatherHub.

As a GAF contractor, Sharp Roofing was already using WeatherHub to better understand storm activity, support conversations with homeowners and adjusters, and stay connected with past customers when severe weather moved through their area.

Over time, that relationship opened the door to something much larger: a broader partnership with Predictive Sales AI spanning Sharp Roofing's website, organic search, paid advertising, lead generation, Project Showcase, reputation, interactive website tools and overall marketing strategy.

From Weather Intelligence to a Broader Marketing Partnership

Ryan Spencer, owner of Sharp Roofing, has been in the roofing industry since 2008. He launched Sharp Roofing in 2016 with a business partner, two trucks, a couple of laptops and a goal of building a residential roofing company that could stay close to home.

Sharp Roofing also built a strong relationship with GAF early in the company's history. That relationship ultimately helped introduce the company to Predictive Sales AI through WeatherHub.

Ryan initially saw WeatherHub as valuable in two ways. First, it helped Sharp Roofing monitor storm activity affecting previous customers so the team could proactively check in and make sure homeowners were taken care of. Second, it provided useful storm data when severe weather impacted the local market.

As Sharp Roofing continued growing, Ryan began looking beyond weather intelligence and asking a bigger question: was the company's overall marketing strategy moving forward fast enough?

“We needed to go forward at a more rapid pace.”

Because there was already familiarity and trust through WeatherHub, exploring PSAI's broader marketing services felt like a natural next step.

Ryan also pointed to PSAI's relationship with GAF as an important confidence-builder when Sharp Roofing decided to make the transition.

The Value of Working With a Team That Understands Roofing

One of the biggest differences Ryan noticed was working with a marketing partner already familiar with the roofing industry.

With previous marketing relationships, Sharp Roofing often found itself trying to do two jobs at once: trust the agency to develop the marketing strategy while also teaching the agency how the roofing business worked.

PSAI changed that dynamic.

“Having someone that gets shingles is great.”
Ryan Spencer, Sharp Roofing

Ryan said one of the most valuable parts of the partnership has been PSAI's willingness to challenge ideas when the team believes a different approach will produce a better result.

That industry experience also helps Sharp Roofing evaluate new opportunities—including AI—without chasing every new technology simply because it exists.

03

More Quality Opportunities for the Sales Team

For Ryan, marketing performance ultimately comes back to a simple goal: creating enough quality opportunities for Sharp Roofing's best people to spend their time with the right homeowners.

One of the clearest signs that the strategy is working is that Sharp Roofing's sales team does not need to rely as heavily on cold outreach to keep opportunities moving through the business.

The Impact

“PSAI has filled a void there for us that has allowed our best people to continue to be in front of the best opportunities to produce the best results.”

Ryan also said Sharp Roofing is seeing more roofing leads from homeowners who are ready to make a purchase and interested in making an educated decision—not simply collecting three estimates and choosing the lowest price.

04

Turning the Website Into a Lead-Generation Tool

Ryan admitted that he once viewed a website primarily as something visual—a place for homeowners to learn about the company.

Working with PSAI helped change that perspective.

Today, Sharp Roofing's website is being used as a broader marketing engine: supporting organic visibility, reputation, lead generation, completed projects, educational content and interactive tools.

Ryan also highlighted how PSAI made it easier for his team to create content. After receiving a simple process for creating blog topics and content, Sharp Roofing produced six or seven new posts in a single week.

05

A Roofing Calculator That Became an Unexpected Lead Source

One of the PSAI tools that has stood out to Ryan is Sharp Roofing's online Roofing Calculator.

The calculator gives homeowners an opportunity to understand the potential price range of a roofing project before scheduling an in-home appointment.

Ryan sees value on both sides of the interaction. Homeowners who are still planning can get useful information without requiring a salesperson to drive to the property, inspect the roof and create an estimate. Homeowners who are ready to move forward enter the sales conversation with a clearer understanding of what the project may cost.

“The Roofing Calculator has become a lead-generation tool that we did not expect to have the results that it did.”

That means Sharp Roofing's sales conversations can spend less time debating price and more time discussing products, solutions and what is actually right for the homeowner.

06

Getting More Marketing Value From Every Completed Project

Sharp Roofing has also begun investing more heavily in documenting completed projects and adding them to Project Showcase.

For Ryan, the value is not simply having more project photos on the website. It is about helping homeowners visualize their own project using authentic examples of work Sharp Roofing has already completed.

Instead of relying on stock photography or AI-generated concepts, Sharp Roofing can show a homeowner a real roof, on a real home, using the exact shingle color or product they are considering.

Authentic Proof

Project Showcase allows Sharp Roofing to turn finished jobs into useful content homeowners can explore before ever speaking with a salesperson.

Ryan's team is even using those projects to create a roofing color-selection experience, allowing homeowners to see specific shingles on actual Sharp Roofing projects.

07

One Platform Makes It Easier for the Entire Team to Contribute

Sharp Roofing now uses a growing number of tools through PSAI—from weather intelligence and lead generation to reviews, projects, website content and interactive conversion tools.

Ryan said an important benefit of having those capabilities within one platform is how easy it is to involve more members of the Sharp Roofing team.

Employees do not need to become web developers or marketing specialists to contribute. Sharp Roofing has been able to train team members to upload projects, manage photos, work with reviews and complete other marketing tasks from the same system.

“To be able to have us all working from one base has made it easy to transition those people in and then also see what they're doing.”

08

From Constant Changes to a Long-Term Marketing Foundation

Perhaps the biggest change Ryan described was not any individual marketing tactic.

It was stability.

Instead of feeling like Sharp Roofing is constantly making major changes to its marketing, Ryan said the company now has a stronger foundation it can continue building on.

“We feel like our marketing team is someone we can stick with long term.”

Ryan described the adjustments Sharp Roofing is making today as “micro adjustments” rather than the major strategic changes the company had made in years past.

09

Giving the Business Owner More Time to Think About the Business

Near the end of our conversation, Ryan explained perhaps the most important impact of the partnership.

When the day-to-day marketing responsibility can be placed in trusted hands, he has more time to think about what Sharp Roofing should do next.

Instead of spending that time figuring out how to market every new idea, Ryan can focus on developing the next idea, improving the customer experience and finding new ways to differentiate Sharp Roofing.

Then he can hand that story to PSAI and let the marketing team help put it in front of the right homeowners.

“I've got a team that I know I can just hand this thing off to... and they're going to figure out a way to make sure that gets in front of every potential client.”
“Having that flexibility and movement has transformed the business.”
